Shamila Lengsfelds AI short film “Ladybug Robot Killer” has been nominated at the 99FIRE-FILMS AWARD, held as part of the Berlinale, in the category “Most Creative Use of AI in Film.”

Created within just 99 hours, the film portrays a world in which efficiency has overtaken empathy, and follows an anti-heroine determined to reclaim humanity in her own uncompromising way. 🐞🤖🗡️

As a director working at the intersection of genre cinema and artificial intelligence, this nomination holds particular significance for her. It reinforces her belief that AI is not merely a tool for automation, but a powerful creative medium capable of bold, visually driven, and radical storytelling.
